Design and strategy
The entire website structure was organized in a single-page layout, concentrating all information on the homepage. We used sections to highlight the brand’s history, mission, services, productions, and team. The sections were strategically organized to ensure an intuitive and pleasant user experience. We described the film production methodology and provided teasers for all productions created by Iron.
Color palette
Typography
The brand’s typography was used throughout the entire website, creating a direct connection between Iron’s visual identity and the site. We also used different font weights for titles, subtitles, and paragraphs to enhance the page’s design flow and ensure the prioritization of certain information.
Writing
We used a corporate tone of voice throughout the website, guiding the user to interact and engage more with the brand’s projects. We also used strategic calls to action to direct attention to desired elements.
Demoreel
We compiled parts of each Iron production to introduce users to all the productions made by the company. We included the brand’s slogan and positioned it as the initial banner at the top of the site.
Dynamic Sections
We included dynamic sections on the site to ensure more intuitive navigation. For example, on the team page, clicking on a section expands it to open a window showing an introductory text about that professional and their social media links.
Photobranding
The project
In this project, our mission was to create a website that not only translates the story of each developed production but also explains the research work and its challenges, using the trajectory of Iron itself over five years of operation as a guiding thread.
Iron Metropolis
Iron Metropolis Films is an independent American production company based in New York City. Our work is inspired by the legendary actor, filmmaker, playwright, novelist, and composer Melvin Van Peebles, also known as the godfather of modern Black cinema. Through audiovisual media, Iron tells authentic and unique stories in memorable narratives.
